hasta
हस्त hastaThe hand, and by extension a hand-gesture of classical Indian dance. The hastas divide into single-hand (asamyuta) and combined-hand (samyuta) forms, codified in the Natya Shastra and the Abhinaya Darpana; one shape carries many meanings by context (viniyoga).
