Where to begin with Sanatana Dharma
If you are new to Sanatana Dharma — Hinduism — the simplest way in is to read one short overview, then follow one guided path. Everything here is traced to the classical texts and written plainly. There is no guru to follow and nothing to join.
The tradition is old enough and wide enough that starting anywhere can feel like walking into a library with no catalogue. So the order below is deliberate. First one reading that gives you the shape of the whole thing. Then a sequence that fills that shape in, stage by stage, from the gods to the texts to the ideas to how any of it is actually practised.
If you would rather not follow a sequence at all, that is fine too. This is a suggested order, not a prescribed one — the tradition sets no required sequence. Every reading here is also a page you can open on its own, and the subjects are laid out further down.
Or explore by interest
Thematic journeys, each covering a whole area of the tradition in full. Follow one and you miss nothing in it.
