Linga-sharira
लिङ्गशरीर liṅgaśarīraThe 'subtle body,' also called sukshma-sharira, which carries the impressions, tendencies, and karmic residues of past lives from one birth to the next. Distinct from the perishable physical body, it is the vehicle on which successive lives are strung in Samkhya and Vedanta analysis.
