पञ्चमकार pañcamakāra

The 'five Ms' of left-hand Tantra - madya (wine), mamsa (meat), matsya (fish), mudra (parched grain) and maithuna (union). Taken literally by the vira (heroic) path and symbolically or substituted by others, they are ritual means of transcending duality, hedged by strict initiation and discipline.
