sannyasi
संन्यासी sannyasiA renunciant who has entered sannyasa, the fourth and final stage of life, formally giving up home, possessions and social ties to seek liberation. Having 'died' to the world in a living funeral rite, a sannyasi is traditionally not cremated but buried or immersed in meditation posture.
