शवसाधना śava-sādhanā

A tantric rite of the left-hand (vamachara) path performed while seated upon a corpse; in its interior sense the corpse is a mirror of the practitioner's own body and ego, and the discipline aims at conquering the fear of death and the reflex of disgust.
