The 'Glory of the Goddess', a 700-verse text in the Markandeya Purana and the founding scripture of Shaktism; tells of the Goddess slaying Mahishasura and Shumbha-Nishumbha. Recited at Navaratri. Also called the Durga Saptashati or Chandi.
