Naraka
नरक narakaThe hellish realms, where the fruits of cruel or evil deeds are suffered. Like svarga, naraka is temporary in the Hindu view: it is a place of purgation and payment rather than eternal damnation, after which the soul takes rebirth. Only moksha lies outside this cycle.
