ahamkara
अहंकार ahaṃkāraThe 'I-maker': the function of the inner instrument (antahkarana) that adds the sense of 'I' and 'mine' to experience, generating the feeling of being a separate doer and owner. One of the four functions of the mind in Vedanta and a key principle in Samkhya.
