sattva
सत्त्व sattvaOne of the three gunas: the quality of purity, light, clarity, harmony and knowledge. When sattva predominates in the mind or in nature, there is calm, lucidity and goodness. It is the finest of the three, yet the Bhagavad Gita holds that even sattva binds the soul, through attachment to happiness and knowledge.
